Soybeans Posting Modest Monday Gains

Soybeans are trading with gains of 2 to 3 cents at midday. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price was up 20 1/2 cents at $12.53 3/4. Soymeal futures are down $2.80 to $3 on the day, with Soy Oil up 6 points. There were no delivery notices on FND for September beans, with 261 deliveries for September meal and 800 for September bean oil.

USDA reported a private export sale of 159,000 MT to unknown destination this morning for 2026/27.

Cocoa Prices Rise on Concern Over West African Cocoa Quality

USDA's FGIS tallied soybean export shipments at 250,801 MT (9.22 mbu) during the week ending on August 27. That was 41.7% below the week prior and 49% lower than the same week last year. Mexico was the top destination of 53,896 MT, with 43,299 MT headed to Algeria and 42,394 MT to Egypt. Marketing year exports for 2025/26 are 40.744 MMT (1.497 bbu), which is now 18.2% below the same period last year.

Commitment of Traders data from CFTC showed managed money adding another 46,592 contracts to their net long position in the week ending on August 25. That took their net long to 198,254 contracts.
