Do Wall Street Analysts Like Assurant Stock?

Atlanta, Georgia-based Assurant, Inc. (AIZ) provides protection services to connected devices, homes, and automobiles in North America and internationally. The company has a market cap of $14.1 billion and operates through Global Lifestyle and Global Housing segments, and offers mobile device solutions, extended service contracts, and related services for consumer electronics and appliances, and more.

AIZ stock has rallied the broader market over the past year, growing 34.7% compared to the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 18.7% surge. Moreover, in 2026, the stock has grown by nearly 19.8%, outpacing the SPX's 12.1% rise.

Zooming in further, the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) has risen 8.6% over the past year, lagging behind the stock. In 2026, XLF has grown 6.4% and has also underperformed the stock.

On Aug. 5, AIZ stock rose 7.2% following the release of its better-than-expected Q2 2026 earnings. The company's revenue for the quarter rose 6.9% from the prior year's quarter to $3.5 billion and surpassed the Street's forecasts. Additionally, its adjusted EPS came in at $6.41, also topping Wall Street's estimates.

For the current year, which ends in December, analysts expect AIZ's EPS to grow 11.5% to $22.05 on a diluted basis. The company surpassed the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.

Among nine Wall Street analysts covering AIZ stock, the consensus is a "Strong Buy." That's based on six "Strong Buy" ratings, one "Moderate Buy," and two "Holds."

The configuration has remained unchanged over the past months.

On Aug. 19, Morgan Stanley analyst Bob Huang maintained a "Buy" rating for AIZ and raised its price target from $300 to $320.

AIZ's mean price target of $321.43 offers a 11.4% upside compared to the current market price. Its Street-high target of $355 implies a robust 23% upside from current levels.
