Apple And Google Hire Crypto Developers

Big technology companies, including Apple (NASDAQ: $AAPL) and Google parent Alphabet (NASDAQ: $GOOGL), are hiring cryptocurrency developers and other digital asset experts.

The move comes as Silicon Valley takes a growing interest in stablecoins, tokenization, and blockchain-based payment networks.

A Google Cloud job posting seeks to hire someone with experience in blockchain networks, smart contracts, stablecoin infrastructure, and tokenized deposits.

The job posting adds that the person hired will help shape the company's Web3 product roadmap as it seeks to become the preferred cloud provider for digital-asset builders.

Apple is also expanding into crypto and is seeking a financial product lead at its Apple Pay unit.

The iPhone maker is hiring someone to assess new products, partnerships, and commercial models across wallets, payments and commerce. Analysts say that Big Tech is eyeing stablecoins and tokenized deposits as those technologies become a bigger part of the global payment ecosystem.

Asian technology giant Samsung (OTC: $SSNLF) recently announced plans to add stablecoin features to its Galaxy smartphones through a new "Samsung Wallet."

AAPL stock has risen 31% over the last 12 months to trade at $336.13 U.S. a share. GOOGL stock has gained 38% in the past year to change hands at $349.54 U.S. per share.
