ESDS Software hits upper circuit as AI infrastructure deal fuels post-IPO rally
Shares of the Indian cloud and managed services provider have surged more than 40 percent above their listing price, driven by broker optimism over a massive artificial intelligence infrastructure contract.
ESDS Software Solutions hit its 20 percent upper circuit early in Monday's trading session, remaining locked at 1,090 rupees. This marks a 44 percent gain from its listing price of 757 rupees in just two trading sessions. The surge underscores intense investor appetite for newly listed technology firms with exposure to artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The stock is now trading approximately 154 percent above its initial public offering price of 429 rupees. Successful allottees at the IPO level are currently sitting on a notional gain of 661.05 rupees per share. The latest rally follows a bumper market debut on the National Stock Exchange, where the shares initially commanded a 76.5 percent premium over the issue price.
The company provides infrastructure-as-a-service, managed services, and software-as-a-service to domestic and overseas customers. Its client base spans the banking, financial services, government, and enterprise segments. Market enthusiasm is heavily anchored to a $1.25 billion AI infrastructure contract the company secured with Sharon AI.
Choice Institutional Equities has initiated coverage on the stock with a buy rating and a target price of 1,550 rupees. This target implies a potential upside of roughly 42 percent from Monday’s closing price of 1,090.05 rupees. The brokerage highlighted the company’s integrated presence across cloud, colocation, GPU-as-a-Service, managed services, and SaaS as a core competitive advantage.
Based on this integrated service model, the brokerage projects the company’s revenue will scale dramatically. Revenue is expected to rise from 472 crore rupees in fiscal year 2026 to 4,581 crore rupees in fiscal year 2028. Choice valued the company at 18 times its estimated enterprise value-to-EBITDA multiple for the 2028 fiscal year.
Despite the bullish outlook, analysts warn of several material execution risks. The brokerage specifically flagged the successful delivery of the massive AI contract as a critical variable. Furthermore, customer concentration, the capital-intensive nature of the planned expansion, and rising sector competition remain key hurdles for the newly listed firm to navigate.
