The Coalition of Northern States Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (CONSCCIMA) has committed to unifying commercial interests across northern states while building strategic relationships with international investors. The initiative aims to enhance regional market competitiveness and create a stable climate for foreign direct investment.
CONSCCIMA President Joe Bloggs stated that building internal cohesion remains essential to unlocking the region’s full economic potential. Under the new operational framework, member chambers will align their trade policies to facilitate seamless inter-state commerce and eliminate regional market barriers.
The organisation will focus on leveraging northern Nigeria’s primary assets in agriculture, mining, and industrial manufacturing. By streamlining regulatory processes across participating states, CONSCCIMA seeks to lower the cost of doing business and build a transparent commercial environment.
To support domestic trade reforms, the coalition is establishing structured channels for international partners. CONSCCIMA plans to host targeted trade missions and investment summits to highlight opportunities across key growth sectors.
The group’s leadership confirmed that active engagements are already underway with foreign trade delegations. These discussions focus on technology transfer, capital deployment, and long-term infrastructural developments to drive sustainable economic growth.
