The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday urged Nigerians to vote for continuity by re-electing her husband, President Bola Tinubu, assuring that Nigerians will experience a stronger economy during the second tenure, with the foundation already established. The First Lady, who was speaking at the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network Grand Rally for the re-election of the President, also assured that the President will fulfil his October 1, Independence Day message to take Nigeria from reform to prosperity if re-elected for a second term in office come 2027. The First Lady made a strong case for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, according to a statement by Busola Kukoyi, the Senior Special Assistant SSA Media to the First Lady on Media, The Rally recorded a massive turnout of party faithful from across the North Central geopolitical zone, with top leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC, including the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, Hope Uzodimma, the IMO State Governor and Governors from the zone, in attendance. The First Lady described President Tinubu as a man who believes in the unity, security, and prosperity of Nigeria, without sectional bias. ‎”The Independence Day message of Mr President was titled “From Reforms to Prosperity, therefore, Mr President is saying that they are going to reform the sector, but now is the time for prosperity, and we can see our economy is stabilising. ‎ ‎”Foreign exchange is going down, and investors are coming back to Nigeria. Our farmers too; you can see all our governors here; they are doing infrastructural development like never before”. ‎ ‎ Oluremi Tinubu assured that the administration of President Tinubu is also tackling food insecurity aggressively, urging Nigerians to give the President the chance to consolidate his reforms. ‎” As you see now, we have just finished the food bank programme, where we are helping every child and mothers who are pregnant and also breastfeeding”. ‎”This is to ensure that they can have more nutritious food, and also the children that are malnourished can get treatment and also get food to grow healthy”. ‎”Not only that, our young people who are in school are getting well funded”. ‎”One thing I want to say is that as we all go back to our various states, tell everyone that Mr President Bola Tinubu is a leader who is very bold. As we can see, he will not stop by being at home to take difficult decisions; he is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity”. ‎She charged the people of the North-Central region to ensure that they inform the people that things would change for the better if Tinubu and Shettima are re-elected to office. ‎She said, “President Tinubu’s administration is going to build a stronger economy, safer communities and a greater Nigeria. ‎”Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom”.
