archTIS secures US regional bank contract as Spirion gains commercial traction

archTIS Ltd has secured an A$119,000 contract with a Nasdaq-listed US regional bank for its Spirion Sensitive Data Platform, extending the company's reach beyond its traditional defence and government customer base.

The agreement is archTIS' second Spirion contract win in two weeks, taking the combined total contract value of the two deals to A$564,000.

The California-headquartered bank will use Spirion as part of an enterprise-wide data retention and lifecycle management program designed to identify, classify and manage more than a decade of accumulated unstructured data.

The deployment will initially cover the customer's Windows file-share environment, where much of its legacy data is stored, while working alongside existing Microsoft Purview retention and classification labels.

Spirion will automate retention, deletion and quarantine actions based on factors including file type, location and age, while accommodating legal-hold requirements.

The platform will also provide reporting designed to give management and auditors greater visibility over how sensitive and legacy information is being managed.

The customer selected Spirion based on its accuracy, customisable retention and deletion policies, coverage across relevant data repositories and the potential to reduce employee workloads through automation.

The contract covers software licensing and premium support and was secured through archTIS' partner channel.

The bank has requested that its identity remain confidential.

The latest agreement follows a A$445,000 Spirion contract announced on September 8 and supports archTIS' strategy of expanding into regulated commercial sectors including financial services.

Managing director and CEO Daniel Lai highlighted the risks created by organisations retaining large volumes of legacy data and pointed to Spirion's ability to locate sensitive information and automate retention workflows at scale.

archTIS sees similar data-management challenges across industries including banking, aviation, healthcare and critical infrastructure, creating further opportunities for its data discovery, classification and protection technologies.

The initial deployment may also provide scope to expand the relationship into additional enterprise data sources and other archTIS products, including NC Protect and Trusted Data Integration.

archTIS provides data-centric security software used across government, defence, enterprise and regulated industries, with its portfolio also including Kojensi and Spirion.
