Trump Media to sell millisecond Truth Social feed to traders
Trump Media & Technology Group is launching a paid data feed for algorithmic traders, creating a new revenue stream from the market-moving power of Truth Social posts.
Trump Media & Technology Group will launch a paid data feed delivering Truth Social posts to financial institutions "in milliseconds." The service, named Truth API, is targeted at high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms that require immediate access to market-moving information. TMTG said the machine-readable feed assists in "eliminating the need for manual monitoring" of the platform.
The company promised access to the platform’s "most influential accounts" and its "most market-moving Truths." While TMTG did not identify the specific accounts covered, the description strongly implies the inclusion of US President Donald Trump. He is Truth Social’s best-known user and the largest shareholder in its publicly traded parent company, having established the platform as his primary outlet for major announcements.
Subscribers will not receive posts before they appear publicly on Truth Social. The commercial value rests entirely on the speed of delivery and the removal of latency from human intervention. The service will operate continuously, 24 hours a day, and will feature an archive of posts dating back to 2022.
For quantitative and institutional investors, the API solves a structural friction point. Trading firms can now programmatically ingest Truth Social data to automatically adjust positions in stocks, bonds, and interest rates. TMTG noted that "markets already move on Truth Social posts," framing the paid feed as a necessary infrastructure upgrade for professional traders reacting to political news.
Truth API is scheduled to launch on 1 August 2026. TMTG stated that customers had already signed up ahead of the launch and that it is onboarding additional partners. Providing API access mirrors standard practices at other social media companies, such as X.
However, the arrangement is unprecedented for a platform majority-owned by a sitting president. Selling high-speed access to a political figure's statements introduces fresh questions about Trump monetising the presidency, even as it establishes a tangible revenue stream for TMTG.
