Robinhood Chain DEX volume reaches record $989 million as utility projects expand
Robinhood Chain recorded nearly $1 billion in daily decentralized exchange volume as investor focus shifts from speculative memecoins to utility-driven infrastructure and tokenized stock pairings.
Robinhood Chain recorded a single-day decentralized exchange trading volume record of $989 million on Friday. This milestone coincides with total value locked on the network reaching $708 million, marking a near 100 percent increase from the previous month.
Stablecoin supply on the chain has also expanded significantly, rising 47 percent month-over-month to approximately $770 million. This absolute growth reflects a broader maturation in the types of assets attracting capital to the network.
The composition of trading activity has shifted markedly since July, when the chain was dominated by speculative memecoin beta following the spot listing of CASHCAT. In August, investor attention and volume have migrated toward tokens associated with utility and infrastructure.
Launchpad protocols illustrate this rotation. PONS, one of the chain’s dominant launch platforms, saw its market capitalization expand from $20 million to over $200 million within the month.
Another major launchpad, LONG, facilitates the creation of tokens paired against tokenized stocks, which remains a key differentiator for the Robinhood ecosystem. Memecoins paired against these tokenized equities now account for roughly a quarter of all stock-linked trading volume on the chain.
The largest stock-paired memecoin originated from the LONG launchpad under the ticker AI, short for Artificial Inu, paired against tokenized Nvidia shares. Its market capitalization grew from $1.5 million on August 1 to a peak of $135 million by August 30.
This AI token now holds approximately $3.3 million in liquidity within its Nvidia pool. That depth is more than triple the liquidity available in its Wrapped Ether pool, highlighting strong demand for equity-linked crypto assets.
Broader infrastructure projects have experienced similar valuation surges. Delta, a liquidity-layer protocol, UP, a ve(3,3) emissions project, and NetNet, an OHM-style bonding platform, have all increased their valuations tenfold during August.
For investors and market professionals, this data signals a structural evolution in the network’s activity. The migration of capital toward tokenized stock pairings and foundational infrastructure suggests the chain is developing sustainable use cases beyond transient speculative trading.
