Augmont Enterprises IPO oversubscribed 111 times ahead of August 31 listing

Augmont Enterprises has completed share allotment for its heavily oversubscribed 825-crore rupee initial public offering, signaling strong demand for India’s integrated gold and silver platforms ahead of its market debut.

Augmont Enterprises has completed the share allotment for its initial public offering, setting the stage for its market debut on the Bombay and National Stock Exchanges on August 31, 2026. The 825-crore rupee offering attracted overwhelming demand, closing with an overall subscription rate of 111.18 times.

Institutional appetite drove the bulk of the demand, with the qualified institutional buyer portion subscribed 238.46 times. The non-institutional investor category followed at 127.63 times, while the retail segment was subscribed 32.64 times.

The issue comprised a fresh share issuance worth 620 crore rupees and an offer for sale aggregating 205 crore rupees. Shares were priced at the upper end of the 750 to 788 rupee band, requiring a minimum retail investment of 14,972 rupees per lot of 19 shares.

Confidence in the bullion platform was established early, with the company raising 246.3 crore rupees from anchor investors on August 20. Fifteen institutional investors, including Nomura and Societe Generale, acquired 31.25 lakh shares at the maximum price band.

The robust market reception aligns with the company’s recent financial trajectory. For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Augmont Enterprises reported a 42 percent increase in total income to 94,282.47 lakh rupees. Profit after tax surged 53 percent to 348.30 lakh rupees, up from 227.19 lakh rupees in the previous year.

Management plans to deploy approximately 465 crore rupees of the net proceeds toward working capital requirements. This allocation will fund inventory procurement, maintenance, scaling, and advance margin needs, with the remainder reserved for general corporate purposes.

Incorporated in 2012, Augmont operates across the gold and silver value chain, from refining and bullion trading to digital gold services. The company currently serves over 49.6 million digital gold consumers and maintains more than 5,200 registered enterprise members across 24 Indian states.

For investors, the reported 40 percent grey market premium indicates strong listing expectations, reflecting broader market confidence in technology-enabled commodity platforms. The successful capital raise provides Augmont with the liquidity necessary to scale its operations amid growing retail and enterprise demand for precious metals.
