Federal Bank falls 4% on report of Jana Small Finance Bank stake acquisition

Federal Bank shares fell nearly 4% after reports that the lender may acquire a controlling stake in Jana Small Finance Bank. The deal could involve buying Jana Holdings’ 16.9% stake followed by an open offer. Jana Holdings is seeking to sell its stake to meet bond repayment obligations by December 2026.
