Mobavenue AI Tech hits upper circuit as Q1 profit nearly doubles
The small-cap AdTech firm's shares surged 10% against a falling Sensex after first-quarter results showed 95% profit growth, widening margins and a sharp jump in international revenue.
Mobavenue AI Tech shares jumped 10% to the daily upper circuit on the BSE on Wednesday, reaching an intraday high of ₹338.50, even as the Sensex dropped nearly 1%. The trigger was the company's Q1FY27 filing, which showed profit after tax climbing 95% year on year to ₹11.7 crore on revenue of ₹72.8 crore, up 57%.
The margin expansion is the more telling signal. PAT margin widened 320 basis points to 16.1%, and EBITDA rose 77% to ₹15.4 crore, pushing the EBITDA margin up 240 basis points to 21.2%. Revenue is growing fast, but profits are growing faster, pointing to operating leverage that investors in small-cap technology stocks watch closely.
Mobavenue credited the quarter to direct advertiser demand in quick commerce, banking and financial services, fintech and retail, as well as to global clients won through its reseller and agency channel. Direct clients made up 65.2% of revenue.
International mix shifts
One structural change stands out. International markets contributed 20.7% of revenue in the quarter, nearly double the 11.5% share recorded in FY2026, with India accounting for the remaining 79.3%. For a company of Mobavenue's size, that kind of geographic diversification in a single year changes the risk and growth profile.
AI layer launched
Alongside the numbers, the company introduced the Mobavenue Neural Engine, an artificial-intelligence layer intended to sit across its AdTech and consumer platforms.
"The Mobavenue Neural Engine is a single AI layer that runs across the entire advertising process, from planning and execution to creative and reporting. It allows a marketer to go from a campaign plan to a live campaign in under 59 seconds," the company said.
Mobavenue added that the engine will be embedded across its platforms over the coming quarters, sharpening decision-making within what it calls its A3 framework of Awareness, Acquisition and Activation. The rollout timeline gives investors a concrete catalyst to track in subsequent filings.
Valuation context
The stock carries a market capitalisation of ₹2,442 crore. It has returned 3,900% over three years and 13,944% over five years, and is up 38% so far in 2026. Wednesday's close sits near the 52-week high of ₹343.80 set on 8 July, well above the 52-week low of ₹196.90 touched in November.
The upper-circuit move in a broadly weak session underscores how sharply the market is repricing small-cap AdTech names that can pair triple-digit profit growth with a credible AI roadmap. The next test will be whether margins hold as the Neural Engine scales.
