Technocraft Ventures IPO allotment finalised ahead of 12.7% listing premium

Technocraft Ventures' heavily oversubscribed IPO is set to list on Indian exchanges on Friday, with grey market premiums pointing to a strong first-day gain.

Technocraft Ventures finalised the share allocation for its initial public offering on Wednesday, paving the way for a public market debut on Friday. The shares will list simultaneously on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange, concluding a rapid bidding window that opened on August 7 and closed on August 11.

Demand for the issue significantly exceeded the available shares. The IPO was subscribed 38.69 times overall, according to official BSE data. Such heavy oversubscription typically means most retail applicants will receive only a minimal allocation, leaving the vast majority of applied capital to be returned to the market.

Unofficial grey market activity suggests this intense demand will translate into a premium at the open. The grey market premium stood at ₹27 on Wednesday, implying an estimated listing price of ₹239 per share. This represents a 12.74% upside over the upper end of the ₹212 price band. Over the past 13 sessions, this premium has demonstrated an upward trend, fluctuating between ₹0.00 and ₹30.

Allotment mechanics

Investors can verify their allocation status through the registrar's portal, Bigshare Services, using a PAN number, Beneficiary ID, or application number. Both the NSE and BSE websites also provide dedicated online facilities to check share allocation status directly.

These operational steps are critical for short-term capital management. Market participants who did not receive an allocation will see their refunds initiated on Thursday. Conversely, successful applicants will have their demat accounts credited on Thursday, ensuring they hold the shares ahead of the Friday listing.

The expected double-digit listing premium reflects specific market interest in Technocraft Ventures. However, grey market prices remain unofficial indicators, and actual trading liquidity on the listing day will ultimately dictate the true opening price and early market volatility.
