SC stays CIC order declaring NSE 'public authority' under RTI Act

The Supreme Court has stayed a Central Information Commission order. This order declared the National Stock Exchange of India a public authority. The NSEI challenged this ruling, seeking a response from the commission. The High Court had previously agreed with the NSEI's classification. This decision allows citizens to seek information from the exchange.
