Lohia Corp launches ₹1,101 crore offer-for-sale IPO on July 23
Indian textile machinery manufacturer Lohia Corp is launching a ₹1,101 crore offer-for-sale initial public offering, providing a complete promoter exit while giving investors exposure to the technical textiles sector without injecting fresh capital into the business.
Lohia Corp will open its ₹1,101.28 crore initial public offering for public subscription on July 23, with the bidding window closing on July 27. The issue is structured entirely as an offer for sale, meaning the company itself will not receive any proceeds from the public listing.
The company has set the price band at ₹404 to ₹425 per equity share. Ahead of the opening, the shares are commanding a grey market premium of ₹40, pointing to an estimated listing price of ₹465 and a potential 9.41 percent premium over the upper price band.
The sale involves 2.59 crore equity shares offloaded by promoters Raj Kumar Lohia, Amit Kumar Lohia, and Gaurav Lohia, alongside promoter group member Ritu Lohia. Additional selling shareholders include Alok Kumar Lohia, Anurag Lohia, and Anuja Lohia.
Investors will be closely evaluating the company’s recent financial trajectory. For the fiscal year 2026, Lohia Corp reported operating revenue of ₹17,169.95 million, a notable increase from ₹13,768.72 million in FY25. Net profit also climbed to ₹1,934.52 million from ₹1,178.41 million in the prior year.
Incorporated in June 2023 as Kanpur Packaging Machines Limited, the firm was renamed Lohia Corp Limited in June 2024 following a demerger from Lohia Trade Services Limited. It manufactures machinery for the technical textiles industry, specifically for producing polypropylene and high-density polyethylene woven fabrics and sacks.
The offer reserves at least 75 percent of the net shares for qualified institutional buyers, with up to 15 percent for non-institutional investors and 10 percent for retail individuals. Retail applicants must purchase a minimum of 35 shares, requiring an investment of ₹14,875 at the maximum price.
The listing is scheduled for July 30 on both the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange, with allotment finalization expected on July 28. For market participants, the IPO serves as a pure promoter exit rather than a capital-raising exercise, shifting the investment thesis entirely to the company’s historical earnings growth and future demand in global technical textiles.
