India faces 100-stock ex-date wave led by 3M India's Rs 506 payout
Nearly 100 Indian stocks go ex-dividend this week, forcing portfolio adjustments ahead of major cash distributions from 3M India, MRF and TCS.
Nearly 100 Indian equities will turn ex-dividend this week, capping off a heavy season for corporate actions. Friday is set to be the busiest day, with over 50 companies scheduled to begin trading without their payout rights, headlined by massive special and final dividends from industrial giants.
This dense cluster of ex-dates will trigger widespread technical price adjustments across the Indian market. Shareholders must hold positions in their demat accounts by the respective record dates to capture the distributions, creating immediate downward pressure on share prices as the cash is separated from the equity.
The most significant payouts arrive on Friday. 3M India accounts for the week's largest return, offering a combined Rs 506 per share through a final dividend of Rs 160 and a special dividend of Rs 346. Tire manufacturer MRF follows with a final dividend of Rs 229 per share.
Other major Friday distributions include Honeywell Automation India at Rs 110 per share, Pfizer at Rs 75, and Shree Cement at Rs 70. Cummins India will pay Rs 46, while LMW and Atul round out the larger payouts at Rs 35 and Rs 30, respectively.
Beyond dividends, Friday brings structural changes to share capital. Indian Toners & Developers will trade ex-split, reducing its face value from Rs 10 to Rs 2 per share. Separately, Minolta Finance has fixed Friday as the record date for a rights issue, offering four shares for every one held at Rs 1.2 per share.
Wednesday marks the ex-date for Tata Consultancy Services, with the record date for eligibility also fixed for that day. The IT bellwether declared an interim dividend of Rs 12 per share alongside its April-June FY26 results, with payment scheduled for July 31. Wednesday also features notable payouts from Bharat Bijlee at Rs 35 and Automobile Corporation of Goa at Rs 22.5.
Tuesday's standout is UTI Asset Management Company, which leads the day with a Rs 40 per share dividend. India Motor Parts & Accessories and Bimetal Bearings will also pay Rs 23 and Rs 13.5, respectively. On Thursday, Benares Hotels tops the list with a Rs 25 payout, followed by Ador Welding at Rs 23.
The schedule remains tentative, as additional companies may still announce record dates for dividends, bonus issues, or stock splits before the week concludes.
